Our three courses of AP Physics where given the challenge to engineer and build a working marble roller coaster with four specific features: a loop, a corkscrew, a camelback, and a banked curve. Students had to apply physics calculations to the engineering of their coaster. Students presented their roller coasters and the applied mathematics to their class during finals. It was an intensive group project where students persevered and ended up with some awesome final products. Some samples are below!
