• Outreach that appeals to our ELA and newcomer population.
• Emphasizing the importance of reciprocal relationships between newcomer and ELA students as well as the general student body.
• Educate the student body and community about different cultures at South and the world.
“Today was a powerful and moving Challenge 5280 competition at the McNichols Civic Center Building! Our students continue to inspire, lead and raise the bar on what’s possible with their innovative and thoughtful solutions to our districts most pressing challenges. Today our students set the standard high as they presented solutions to address a social justice issue to ultimately improve our schools for all students. All of our teams did an OUTSTANDING JOB today, so please take the time to congratulate all of our teams. The winning teams will be packing their bags this summer to attend the National Allied Media Conference in Detroit, MI. The allied media conference supports art, media, and technology projects working for social change. Our judges had an incredibly difficult time deciding between so many amazing solutions.”
